About the Project

Digital Citizenship Education (DCE) is an Erasmus+ KA220-ADU Cooperation Partnership that aims to promote ethical and responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in adult education. The project empowers educators, learners, and stakeholders to develop digital literacy, critical thinking, and AI-based teaching skills while ensuring inclusivity and ethical awareness.
Through a European collaboration between Bulgaria, Norway, and Italy, DCE responds to the priorities of the European Year of Digital Citizenship Education 2025, fostering a new generation of digitally competent and responsible citizens.


Objectives

The DCE project seeks to:

  • Enhance digital readiness, resilience, and AI competencies among adult educators and learners.
  • Encourage ethical and critical use of AI in education and civic participation.
  • Support educators through innovative training resources, including a self-assessment (SAT) tool and a methodology handbook.
  • Promote inclusive and sustainable digital education practices aligned with European values and priorities.

Activities

The project will implement a range of dynamic and collaborative activities, including:

  • Three European Prompt-a-thons in Bulgaria, Norway, and Italy focused on AI in education, digital inclusion, and civic engagement.
  • Development of the Prompt-a-thon Toolkit, offering a methodology for organizing AI-based innovation events.
  • Creation of a SAT self-assessment tool for evaluating digital and ethical competencies.
  • Publication of a Practical AI Ethics Guide and a Methodology Handbook for educators.
  • Research and impact analysis to ensure the sustainability of project outcomes.

Impact

The DCE project will:

  • Increase AI literacy and promote responsible AI use in adult education.
  • Empower educators to integrate AI and digital tools into their teaching practice.
  • Strengthen European cooperation and exchange of good practices in digital citizenship education.
  • Contribute to sustainable, inclusive, and ethical digital learning ecosystems across Europe.

Long-term, the project aims to embed AI-driven and ethically conscious methodologies within European adult education policies and practices.


Our Role

As a project partner, EProjectConsult / Way S.A.S. leads the communication, dissemination, and multimedia production for the DCE project.
Our team ensures that project results are shared widely through engaging audiovisual content, storytelling, and online campaigns, maximizing visibility and public impact across Europe.
